I am useless to this website

I haven't purchased any gear in the last 3 years or so. I have no GAS, and haven't had any in just as long. I don't play live anymore (I jam with friends once a week). We have no practice-room volume issues, no internal "band" problems, and where I live there's no Craigslist, Reverb, GuitarCenter, Sweetwater, etc. Nobody tells me anything about my tone, bass style, nor do I tell them about theirs.

Useless to this site. Completely useless.

I've been useless since 1977, just ask my parents!

I am fascinated by what one does with a toboggan in Tampa though. Can you surf with it? Sand dune sledding?

(The above mentioned curiosity serves as an illustration to my uselessness. We come here to "talk bass" and I'm wondering about a toboggan in Florida.)

most useful thread of the last few years, i'd say.

cool rig.

feels satisfying to know someone out there plugs their (good quality) bass into a (good quality) rig and doesn't obsess over what may be better out in the universe somewhere. just playing.

perhaps i'd give that a try one day, but i'm too busy trying to source a boutique MM style pickup for the $100 harley benton bass i just purchased. sigh.
