I'm not sure if you've been told; but you, my friend, are the dark matter which is necessary to balance out the visible P bass, tort and flats here in TB universe. If we had the best most eminent minds of science today to poll as to how important you are, I'll tell you - you rate "totally essential"!

I guess its somewhat ironic we would never have known you were so critical if it wasn't for this very thread which uncovered the "missing mass" or dark space here on our beloved website. From this I can only conclude the OP's claim of uselessness to be completely wrong.

of the 20+ basses that i have only 1 is a 5 string......so you'll be ok...

Weird out of the 15 bass's I own only 1 is a 5 string. Maybe there should be a club.

I made my comment because 5String happens to be in my name and some of the guys on this forum have been giving me guff for using a 5er to play blues for 12 years.

When I joined , I was in a blues band that required a 5string.
