I play my Squiers at gigs so that makes me a pariah of sorts on here. And when I post even a short gig report on a fun night out I get some clown who chimes in to say "every time I hear a cajon I want to smash it over their head".....
So yeah, I wonder why I'm here but haven't quit yet.

Awesome Bass OP, and i feel you 
I like to play a heavy bass, without tort, which isn't any good for metal, on mixed cabs, with slinkies. Oh and none of mine are Fender P's with flats. Still, i like this site and love to read and wonder over what people think important.

Yeah I like reading stuff and I definitely got a ton out of this sight when I first signed on. I am just useless for helping people. I tell them the play a P, learn the major scale, the fridge is cool.
I'm just here to post commentary on subjects I'm not qualified to comment on.

You think you're useless to this website? I don't even play bass! Nor do I gig. Seriously!
I'm a home-studio keyboardist who was curious about effects. I tried getting advice from keyboard forums, but the info was scant at best. Google searches kept pointing me to TB, which ended up giving better effects advice than even guitar forums. To this day, I use effects extensively on my recordings because of TB. BTW, I grew up on '70s soul/R&B/funk, so I LOVE bass!
My contributions to this website are my charm, wit, humor, good looks, and of course, modesty. Stop laughing! And stop throwing carrots at me!
That bass & rig sounds fantastic! So full and warm. Obviously, when what you have sounds that good, there's no reason to add to it.
I'm useless to this website....I don't know anything about electricity, and can hardly set the knobs on my amp...I haven't known what's going on since Gerald Ford was President.
I feel your pain, but I think I'm more worthless than you. I am painfully shy and I've never played my one-and-only bass in front of another human. Photo of my bass attached. I hope to be more useful in the future.
