I get home from work after dealing all day with professional technical/industrial people, and coming here where professional people who seemingly use an entirely different part of their brains speak out on a broad variety of subjects. It's a bit like seeing color TV after a prolonged period of black and white.

When somebody posts a wiring diagram I can use. 
I like it better than most of whats on TV these days.

I've enjoyed TalkBass the most since I finally found the box I needed to uncheck to end the bloody email notifications.
As an aside... I post on a mountain bike forum as well. In both cases, I joined and used the websites to help research a new purchase initially. In both cases, I stuck around and pretty much only lurk and post in the off topic/humor section. Not sure what that says about me.

I've never considered yelling at a cloud. I now feel my life has been missing a piece of the puzzle. What clouds are good for yelling?
No, sadly I have no sense of humor at all. According to my friends and family I'm just obnoxious.
I like TB the most when....
- I post a funny/poignant/cut-to-the-bone comment on page 1, and it sets the tone for the next 3+ pages.
I don't like being told what to wear.
- the OP reads & replies to the comments people make. Fosters a great community vibe IMO.
- there’s great photos posted.

...I log in the next day to be greeted with umpteen-giga-whatsit alert notifications, and think, "Aw [bleep], what did I say??"
Oh, and when all the fun folks are having a good time, and generally making things pleasant!
