We had an artist coming to lead some services at our church. His band members all came in separately. I met the bass player at the airport. Luggage. Check. Bass? Bass? Lost by the airline. He used mine that night. His arrived the next day.

I forgot my bass.

Okay I have never forgotten my bass but I did drive half way to a gig and realized I forgot to get my brother and his wife ha ha ha!
I forgot one string.
Just got done stringing up my bass with a fresh set of Rotosounds. Went to the gig, opened the case and there were three whole strings. A, D, G, and no E. Luckily, it was a short drive. Fifteen minutes later, I returned with the missing E string.
