I hate Guitar Center

:mad::mad: :p:D Same here! lol

I agree with your complains, but my point is that, you should thank God you have those fantastic big stores with such a variety of accessories and instruments, and they have the facility that if they haven't something in stock, they can get it other day, and that people with 2 months of work (Without outgoings, Without spend a penny, if you depend of your parents for example) can buy a decent 1000$ (and more) bass! I went to visit USA and went to GC and samash.. Great stores IMO

Exactly! I was checking stuff back in my country and they mostly sell Fender and Ibanez basses and amps. I asked them whether they (2-3 different stores) sell GK or Ampeg, they don't have them. Though one store do have old Hartke pre-amp, one model only.

Everything is 2-3x more expensive here than in the US and that alone is enough reason not to stock better stuff because no one can afford it and the stores won't make any money out of it. Most people buy USD100-300 basses here and they already think they bring home a beast. StingRays? You won't see them on any store and they cost around $3500-$4000, crazy. Now I appreciate GC way more.

The GC is very limited in when it comes to different types of basses. A few years back they had all kinds of selection. I went in today and they have Musicman Stingray's up the wazoo, Fenders, Ibanez and Hofner...some other stuff in there but I was looking for a few very specific things. My GC doesn't even sell Warwick anymore. *** is up with that? They used to have the walls lined with those things.

I've never had that much trouble with GC sales people, but their prices/selection annoy me. If only there were better Guitar stores left in KC, I'd go there. But nowadays good Guitar stores are few and far between.
