Impressions of bass players using Boss MD-2 ..... I Hate the ODB-3 .... i use instead the MD-2 cause actually works ... the ODB-3 KILLS low end ....

It has a blend control, so it really shouldn't kill your low end if you dial a bit of clean back in. It can be run very bassy, just not very midrangey.

The ODB-3 actually gives more low end than a LOT of other low, midrange, and high-end/boutique pedals, breaux...

That's teh reason it's on my board for the few times a show I need a huge gritty low end.

And if your unit actually turns "On", then it "works", too...

Have you messed w/ the onboard Treble and Bass controls? Maxed out the Bass knob would pretty much render the pedal useless.

It's a very "chunky" pedal which is good in some instances.

IME the ODB-3 has lots of low end, it's just a very synthetic sounding low end, unlike the actual tone of the bass run through. Just my opinion and why I didn't like the pedal.

Right on.
Seriously the ODB-3 has huge low end. I use it with my POG and it handles the sub-octave great. I have used my ODB-3 for several years with no complaints.
One my not like the sound, but tons of low end.

I do prefer the MD-2 over the ODB-3, mostly because of the gain boost control, I also really like the tone of the ML-2, aggressive, gritty and very bass heavy

Many people may dislike the ODB-3, but lack of low end is not one of the reasons for it. In fact it is a great low end booster if you need it in spots.

Yeah Man! it was good ... i sold the damn thing and buy it again and the same impression with the new one ... different basses and different amps ... now with the MD-2 ... the low end of your dreams when needed.

I like to the use the odb-3 as a clean boost and EQ my sound a bit.

Well ... the low end may not be the problem, but volume .... any of you looses a little volume ... could be that ........ when you turn the level at max and turn on/off the pedal ... do you feel any volume level difference ????

If you have the level at max on the pedal then your amp will almost always be quieter than when the pedal is on.

Bozz OD peddles have crappey by-pass and suck hella low tone outof yore bottum. get a boo-teek peddle wif a mids cointreaul so's yoo kan kut thru in the mixx!
