I Hate ODB-3 i use instead the MD-2 cause actually works

I've heard a sound sample of the boss md-2 mega distortion on the boss website and I thought it sounded pretty cool. if anyone on this thread is concerned about low-end losses, a blender pedal should fix that up. also the boss obd-3 has a blend control. you just need to spend some time on dialing in the amount of dry signal that you need and dial in the eq control to your liking. if the boss odb-3 isn't working out for you, I would suggest trying out the Ibanez pd-7. that pedal can deliver smooth distorted sounds that doesn't obliterate low-end.

If I may offer a suggestion - the MXR Bass Blowtorch is a fantastic overdrive pedal!

Aside from having the useful standardised controls including gain, level, blend and high & low eq, there is an incredible mid-range control with selectable frequency.
This mid-range allows total transparency to gritty cutting-edge bass tone, and of all the bassists (and keyboardists I might add) I know who use it, none have a single complaint.

Simple, straight-forward overdrive - any sound you want!
All the best,
JOHN.

Bozz OD peddles have crappey by-pass and suck hella low tone outof yore bottum. get a boo-teek peddle wif a mids cointreaul so's yoo kan kut thru in the mixx!

My god my EYES! MY EYES! GOD! THEY HURT! OW!!

Boss overdrive pedals have crappy bypass and tend to suck a lot of low end out of your tone. Consider getting a boutique pedal with a mids control so you can cut through in the mix!

IME the Blowtorch is a midrange hog. Which can be good/bad, depending on your needs. The good thing about the ODB-3 is it's ultra low-end capabilities. Which is why we're all  @ the OP. Or something.
