I'm building a bass, and wanted your input on color schemes... here's 4 quick drawings I did.... what do you think?
I personally like the white...but i would make the pickguard a pearloid one...i think that would look really cool...IMHO
They're all cool, but the black pickguard and black blocks would look really good onstage. Simple bold contrast stands out best up there.
Definetley black, I have a natural ash Jazz with white block inlays I am gonna put a pink pickguard on.
When I first read your thread title I thought you were talking about some kind of bass player equivalent of "2 left feet"
I like both of the first two pics. Maybe #2 a little better. Seems like it blends better with the white and pearl blocks.
I think the main problem (well, other than the fact that IT'S PINK!) isn't how the pink looks against different pickguards, but how it looks against the maple (bad). How about an ebony fretboard, with white or pearl inlays?
Odd, at first I thought, none of the above, but actually the pink/black looks awesome. Very manly, for a pink bass.
I thought this thread was about someone who feels like their fret hand is just 4 pinkies and they were asking if anyone else felt some degree of the same hence the poll......anyway I voted for the pink and black. I don't care for pink but it does look good with black and black is my fav color...
i think the black would be better, it contrasts better with the pink and makes it pop that little bit more.
My thought as well. To me the white one looks dull against the pink. The black one looks more though. Just my opinion.
