hehe.. :D Hmm.. I told my best friend that I was getting a bass and it actually took me a while b/c I'm somewhat embarassed about like.. my infatuation with them. (she doesn't know about that, really) And she was like, "dude, why are you embarassed? that's sweet!" Then I was like, "Oh, I dunnoo.." And she was like (hehe), "Just don't let it become like the piano and the drums where you get tired of practicing and just let it sit and rot." (I got sort of offended here, but I forgave instantly, b/c she doesn't know anything about WHY I want to play) Then she continues, "If you ever get tired of it, give it to me." What a nice friend, huh? I would NEVER give her my guitar.. let alone my first guitar.. ugh.. and you know she wouldn't give me hers and stuff. I guess since her family is a lot more poor than mine, she thinks I own the world and that getting $300 for a new bass guitar is nothing. But it isn't nothing. And there are damn good reasons why, too! 1. I saved the $300 myself, from a job that I only work sometimes that I HATE that is 8 frickin' hours on my feet..grr and 2. I haven't gotten an allowance since I turned 15, no one ever gives me money anymore. If I ask for it, they get all uptight. I think it's b/c now I go to the Catholic school that THEY wanted me to go to, and it costs $4000 a year plus all these other fees for other things, so probably cumulative $5500 a year. Grrrr.. I dunno why I told you guys this, b/c it has practically nothing to do w/ the bass. I guess I can say, that when I work hard to get something, I don't just do the work for nothing. Spending $300 is a big issue with me. I don't just spend it on billy and susie down the street. I spend it on something that I reeeeally want.

Have you met Benjamin Towle yet? I think you guys might get along well. He's a nice kid too. :)

Raquel, for your special situation, I would recommend getting a 5-string bass. There is a note around low C or C# that has a particularly emphatic effect on many women. If you sit on your speaker and play, you should be able to find it. I swear, this is like actual science and stuff.

It's interesting how we treat a girl being cute and flirtatious asking these questions in comparison to a male newbie using excessive slang and asking the same questions. But hey, maybe I'm reading too much into this.

i'm just curious how she's sitting at her computer since she's been "lmao" so much. :D

I don't have a computer! lol! :D I have a webtv! :D It's this little box that you hook up to your tv to have internet on your tv, but you can't download or anything, which kinda sucks. Oh well. :D So, I'm not sitting on a computer, I'm chillin' out on my bed watching the tv. (sorta)
