    Was this just a Canadian hit or did this break in the USA too? I know they had more success back home in Britain but I don't know how much.

    This is a great song, and enjoyed quite a bit of popularity in the states. I dig a lot of Placebo stuff, though they've kind of fallen off my radar since the 00's. Saw them in LA once or twice. I file them under a more modern Cure in terms of mood and ability. And I'm totally missing the joke here, btw

    In comparison to other bands in that genre, Placebo is pretty much along the same lines.
