I Like J Basses Better Than P Basses

I like this, I love my J Bass but I have a lot of love for my P bass. My go to is the J but I understand the P reference.
You're entitled to your misguided opinion (BTW, I own both.)
I've owned probably half a dozen P-Basses over the years, and I just never can keep them around. Other people sound great on them, but I just can't make the attack characteristics work for me. My first good bass was a 1974 Jazz, still have it and always will, and after going through a great many 5 strings, I finally found a J5 with a narrow-enough neck that facilitates my small hands--the G&L JB5. Here I stand and can do no other.

Don't take it personally. I have just never cottoned to J's. For me it's a Precision or else a non-FSO. You do you.
I have a J with La Bella flats that sounds more like a P bass than any other P bass I've ever owned.
That said I love both, though I prefer the offset body, the thinner neck and the option of harmonic content that the bridge pick up will catch.

I gravitated that way, punk'd kitten at the crossroads, J-walked right into it, met Fidoy, Johnno and Fudge there, one luminous, moonlit night, 1978.
No complaints. I've kept the faith, the way it all played out. Love my PJ — bit on the side. Not fussy. No Siree!
