Lost my gig money last weekend. I ALWAYS put my pay in my front left pants pocket...have done that for 40 years. It wasn’t there. Woke up the next morning and tore my gear case, gig bags and the entire truck apart....was frantic....$125.00..... Finally found it stashed INSIDE MY MICROPHONE CASE! ***... never EVER put it there before in my entire life. OY!

Did you find them!? I hope you did and just forgot to tell us...

Yeah, tell us you found your Geezer!

Unfortunately, no, I did not.

Mrs.Fingers and I celebrated our 11th anniversary this weekend sans children (shipped them off to grandma's house).

We had a fantastic weekend of watching the Red Sox whip the Yankees at a sports bar Friday night, followed by shooting a little pool (something we rarely do). Then we went tailgating at a college football game yesterday and went to see a fantastic bar band last night. Today, she went to get the girls while I attacked our 4 acre yard FULL of hurricane Dorian debris. That whipped my behind for over SIX HOURS. When the Princesses de Fingers arrived at home we went out for Mexican food.

This weekend was so great/busy the pickups never crossed me mind. :D

Thanks for reminding me. :spit:

That's OK. I enjoyed watching the Yankees beat the Red Sox Saturday nite and we are leading 7-4 right now. I think you're about 16 1/2 games behind us.:)

Yeah Friday night was a rare glimpse of joy since the Allstar break. Sox fell off a cliff about then.

If the Yankees fail to win it all with all that talent, they should all be flogged. They're strong. That's for sure.

OK, good news and bad news..... and good news.

I found my Geezer!

The bad news is I'm a dipstick. Would you believe they were sitting in a chair on my screened-in back porch the whole time????? I must have been talking on my phone and set them down back there only to forget about them. They got wet. If you'll recall, we just went through Hurricane Dorian. It rained alot. There was even a little bit of water still in the box.

But I actually think they're fine believe it or not! I'll try to hook them up later and see. Nothing is rusted. They seem to be sealed up pretty well.

Fingers crossed!

Glad you found it.

I mislaid my Gibson SG for about 18 months, I knew I had put it somewhere safe before I went on holiday but couldn't think where.

It wasn't in my sock drawer because I don't have one but I have a sock cupboard (well a shelf in a cupboard) and it was out of sight tucked away at the top. I was using a torch looking for something else when I spotted the case.

If they're not fine, call or write EMG. They've been known to be helpful to hurricane victims, even though you were less of a victim of the hurricane than yourself :D

I'm only a victim of my own gnat-sized attention span.

Honestly, they look fine. I may slap them in tomorrow and see how they do. Have you run any of your P basses with a Geezer and Chromes?

Up until about 3 weeks ago, I had Chromes on my 09 AmStd P for a month and a half. And between the two, you will have to scoop your mids hard to ever fall out of a dense mix :D But while there are certain aspects I liked about Chromes on a P with a Geezer, including the mids, I got really spoiled by the low tension and really smooth feel of Dunlop flats on my parts PJ, so I replaced the Chromes.

Similar experience with a Peavey Fury P-style with Geezers. Chromes then La Bella DTFs which I much preferred. Had a sound guy at a music theatre show I was doing say “Now *that’s* what a P-bass is supposed to sound like!”.
