In my defense, I had been at work since 5 a.m. yesterday. It was 10:30 p.m. and I was in bed at the time of the post.
:D

And, unfortunately, they weren't there at 5 a.m. today. :wideyed:

Gotta hit the road. The journey continues later today....

You're gonna make us wait til morning?

In the meantime one of us can lose a set of Nordstrands to keep everyone busy :)

My reaction exactly! I just read eight pages of posts and I’m emotionally vested in the story. Now I’m not gonna be able to sleep until we get an answer.

Semi-humorous, nearly unrelated story. Back in the late 90s, sometime between 96 and 98, I was in a music store in Paducah, KY. This guy came in, walked up to the counter and asked if they had the Tony Iommi pickups in stock. The guy behind the counter replied with "I didn't know there was such a thing." The customer said "Yeah, they're new." And then the guy behind the counter said "Do they sound like s*#t?" There were laughs all around from everyone in the store, except from the guy asking for them.

Dad (me) set up cookies and movies since schools closed for the hurricane for the next two days.

Hug your girls, read (or tell) them some fairy tales (the spooky stuff :hyper:)

"When the prince and the princess escaped from the magic dungeon they…."

found the geezers! :D

I hope you are safe and the storm will be just "adventure time" for your kids!

All fingers crossed!

Point is, scavenger hunt for pickups will have to wait.

If you haven't lost electricity or even if you have a generator, teach them some bass! Nothin' beats a G major scale on a hurricaney-day :D

Stay safe! :)

I think our school system is being overly cautious. We're far enough inland that I think we'll only see 40 mph gusts and a little flash flooding that should go away quickly.

I'll probably go to work Friday.

But thanks for the kind words.

Turn your positive energies toward the Outer Banks. They will likely take in on the chin.

:)
