I made a pedal board this afternoon... (pics)

I only have three pedals right now, and don't see myself getting much more than another two...for the foreseeable future at least. I went to my parents' house because they recently redid their kitchen, and sure enough they had some of the old drawers and cabinets in the basement. I took the face of one drawer, which was already routed and finished, and screwed on three rubber doorstops. Added two strips of 2" industrial Velcro, and this is what I ended up with:

edit: the Boss pedal in the background is a Boss OC-2 that my boss (ha) gave me to try, turns out it's shot.

That is super cool! Great work. And, yeah, that OC-2 is looking lonely in the background, let it join the fun. :)

Ah, a nice and simple design that I can handle. Been thinking about this lately. There's some wooden productions boards out there for around $30 to $50. The biggest difference is they route out the top for cables to run through and with side and back panels they create sort of a box. This is just as functional.

Simple? Check.
Clean layout? Check.
Recycled materials? Check.
Creative design? Check.
Got all your pedals on it? No check.

So I have to give it 4 out of 5 stars. Get that Boss pedal onto the board and you've got 5!

All ribbing aside, that is a great, creative use of otherwise discarded material. I wish more folks would use scrap / discarded material in their projects. And the use of those rubber wedge door stops is a unique idea. You have the added benefit of resistance to sliding with that rig. Extra bonus points for sure!

We have a mess of those things at the office that are 30 - 40 years old that stop heavy solid core office building doors, I would imagine the relatively light duty application as the base of a pedalboard is nothing for them...
