I might have too many basses

At 5 I felt I had too many. I'm now at 4. I still have favourites, but every bass now covers some need the others don't, so I find it hard to downsize even more.
1 is too few, though. Every gig needs a backup bass.

I'm New to bass guitars but I have plenty of Taylor's Martin's Alvarez acoustic guitar's and several Electric guitar's fender Strats, Jackson DK3, etc. all I can say is they all collect dust now because I play bass LOL

You can always send some to me. This gesture would make you feel awesome and grantee at least a week of good karma credit. Also think of the extra room you will have and the mental stress of choosing would be significantly reduced.

You can help alleviate this sad condition by sending me basses (ps I like WALs)
Doesn't sound excessive to me, but I also have 18 basses, and 2 more on my wish list... The way I approach the "what bass do I gig" question is that I don't keep any basses I wouldn't gig - so, there is no wrong choice per se... But, sometimes the gig dictates which choice is the best one...
Could be lactose intolerance. Drives my gf crazy, but whatcha gonna do?

Nice basses, OP - I'd probably keep all of those, too... I've flipped really good instruments in the past to get something new, then regretted it later - in particular, an RD Artist bass, a '71 tobacco sunburst Les Paul, a '69 ES-335, and the latest was an '08 Am St Jazz that was just outstanding... Nowadays, I just keep the good stuff and add to the pile, lol...
