Did some hands-on comparing with a few jigsaws today, mainly between the Bosch 1590 and some DeWalt model that was $2 more expensive. Off hand, I can't recall the model. The DeWalt seemed a bit more industrial, rugged, heavy-duty, etc. It also had the adjustable footplate that stopped at 15, 30, and 45 degrees. I wasn't able to test the footplate on the Bosch since it was broken on the display. I was ready to buy a jigsaw, too, and would have gotten the Bosch, had I not seen the DeWalt, so now I'm torn between the two saws. In the end, I decided to hold off on a saw for now. I've got bills due this week, so I should probably spend the $$$ on that first. I ended up buying a template router bit.
By the way, Wilser, what angles are available on the 1590? That 30 deg. will be devilishly handy when I start building my second Omni cab.
