I need a cutting implement!

With the coarse-toothed "Speed" blade at a very low speed, the 1590 cut through the 1.75" walnut like a hot knife through air -- it was absolutely effortless. Even with the coarse blade, the cuts were really smooth.

I think I need to get a new jigsaw! my crappy little black 'n decker gets pissy on 1/4" hardboard.

...In summary, I'm definitely glad, now, that I didn't get a bandsaw. I would have had to pay upwards of $300-400 to get a bandsaw with the same power as this Bosch, ...

yeah, I was happy cutting bodies with my bosch until I wanted to make matching control cavity covers out of the scrap left over from the body. "gosh, it would be nice if I could taper the neck thickness with a bandsaw ...it would be easier to guide the wood to the metal ...sheesh, 4/4 bubinga I have in the corner would sure make nice fingerboards ...OMG, now I have this thick big piece of incredibly beautiful figured <WHATEVER> that I need to turn into tops" ...trust me, sooner or later, you'll cry for a bandsaw ...I know I did. and I'm freaking glad I spent the dough on one.

then again, I did build my first 4-5 instruments with that jigsaw.
