So I've been recruited by a startup band that has pro management/promotion from an LA-based outfit. They are looking to "franchise" a certain band that is very popular in LA here in Atlanta.
This band is very...different. Only 80's covers. And there is a theme: Super Ultra Geeky. For example - I'll be wearing a bowtie, huge nerdy glasses, a crash helmet, and a Spongebob backpack. The primary focus is "money gigs" like corporate events, weddings, etc.
I really don't feel my sunburst 60's style Jazz will fit the theme. I never thought I would be shopping for an "uncool" bass, but I am.
Any ideas? I need a bass that screams "Geek" like nothing else.
