Hey there, so I have a chance to grab a Foundation for a good price.
The thing is the headstock only say Peavey Foundation. No made in USA....I google searched and every single Foundation I saw, had made in USA on the front of the headstock.
Were any foundations not made in the US?
Thanks

I've never seen a foreign built Foundation. Great basses by the way!

Here is a photo of the one that I had. It was a really good bass, I needed some PA gear and let it go. (I regret that decision.)

I'm pretty sure that Foundation basses were USA made. I'm no expert, but I really can't recall any different.

Nice necks..like some period jazz basses and built like a tank. I don't think a bomb could blow one apart.

The one I had had a great bridge pickup tone. They were a little on the heavy side for me though.

Get'em while you can..like everything else, they're inching up too.

Just a good solid USA made bass that's flexible tone wise.

The one I have a pic of on my work computer is an early 90's version in white.
The "USA" thing is on the front:

I can check the 80's red one when I get home. IIRC, there my be some that have it on the front in a sticker(like the above) and some that have it on the back, pressed into the wood like the serial number.

The main differences between 80's and 90's(local high school has an 80's that I maintain for them) is that the 80's have much better shielding(metal in the control cavity), have a triangle-shaped string tree on the headstock, and weigh slightly more.

Capnjim - What does the back of the headstock say?

I have a 1993 Fury that says Handcrafted in the USA on the front under the Fury.
I have this 1993 Foundation that says Handcrafted in the USA on the back of the headstock.
