I am making a personal website for myself (using HTML). Can you recommend anywhere/anyone that can publish my HTML for free, without covering my pages in ads? Thanks a lot!

Buy some hoasting. Its not expensive and itll be more reliable and will have no ads at all.

  3. Try www.brinkster.com

edit: just saw it's not free anymore. www.free.fr is good but slow sometimes. Doesn't your ISP offer some free space?

My brother might be able to host it for you. Ill ask him when he's home. He hosts a few sites for people. He has a kickass server computer..

Web1000. It doesn't use any ads, but the reliability isn't that great. FTP doesn't work sometimes. Othertimes it's just generally slow or not there at all. If it's just a personal site, then its fine to use, but if it's anything important then I'd look elsewhere and buy some hosting.
