I NEED HELP FROM BASSISTS

I've been there before. One thing that has helped me is to sit the bass down for a little while and then just listen to all kinds of different music. Listen to funk, jazz, rock, blues, folk, etc. etc....

When you start feeling the creative juices flowing in your brain again and music just coming to you, that's when you know it's time to pick it back up.

I sit down and smoke a joint with my headphones on " AKG 701s" and listen to Grateful Dead or Phish although it really depends on what I am working on if I need a super sick slap line Bill Dickens is always good. Its really about letting everything go and just feeling the music making the groove with out thinking about it. This might sound like a bunch of hippie bull **** or something but I play best when I am thinking about nothing and just feeling the music. Revert back to the joint and if needed repeat :bassist:
