they sound exactly the same as the previous low gain settings but with more output is all.
I added the Jfet booster and it can now have more than unity gain at any setting.
Awsome!! I wants! Doesn't look difficult really.

the very first part is bypassd, then clicked in and set clean, with the bass level at around 11:00 just to show the clean level boost. then it's bypassed again, followed by going thru various amounts of gain, bass and treble settings.

Fade to Blacky? Sorry, couldn't resist! Gonna have to pick one up soon. Need some heavy OD, and my GK Diesel Dawg isn't doing it ATM. B3K has low/mild covered with the flip of a switch or two, and clean is obvious.Told you Nox!!!! Theres simply no contest. Its the Rat King killa!

I picked one up last week. I'm digging it a lot so far. I'm not sure I'd really call it an OD and I haven't been impressed with the low gain settings but once you get it cooking it really sounds great. Perfect for sludge or doom.

Yeah, that's been my relationship with the Dawg as well. And I hope I won't be diseased! That sounds like a risky pedal...
Just redid my board again and got a few things off. Might have to replace them. I had redundancies, but don't have a RAT yet. Maybe I'll get it and put my "tubescreamer" back on. Then I'd have them all! Tubescreamer, Muff, RAT, OCD, and a B3K (some version of each, that is). That SHOULD cover my dirt needs, right?

It's pretty much a really good multi dirt box. Source audio makes it. It's called a micro modulator. Very very good, cool dirt from tube grit to OD to metal dist to gated and octave fuzz. It's even got a rat. It replaced my fulltone OCD. And I LOVE my OCD. I use it for that and the muff fuzz. Very awesome pedal.

All those knobs look scary! Interesting idea though. So it's basically a really good, dirt only multi-effect?
Honestly, I could just the use B3K for my needs. But I like having options! I feel I need at least a clean, OD, distortion, and fuzz tone I like so they're there when I need them. The BB will be my distortion, but might feed into fuzz. Who knows?
It has a noise gate as well so that really comes in handy. It also has a clean blend and a three band EQ which makes this pedal an very valuable tool as well as a dirt box. Two presets, hundreds with a HUB, and it's a no brainer IMO. I'm happy I got it on my board and it'll be there for a long while yet I think. You can even use it as a clean boost if you wanted. One of the smarter investments I've ever made.

It's actually easy to use, much easier than the other SA pedals. You, Drive, Output, Blend, EQ, Model selection. If there are like 1000 dirt pedals you kinda want but don't want to buy or don't have space for, the OFD is the pedal for you.
