The guy might be too busy filling all these orders.I am really tempted by this pedal but less so since the idiot box guys can't seem to answer questions by e-mail and I don't feel like buying from someone that doesn't communicate at all.
Otherwise I might have it by now.
Sorry for the mini rant!![]()
Well... I may try again then ;-)The guy might be too busy filling all these orders.FWIW, I had great communication with him.

I wrote to him a month or so ago and have never had a reply yet.
Waiting would not be a problem whatsoever since this is not a 'need' but much rather 'would like' kind of thing for me.You have to talk to Matt at Idiot Box about this. Nothing is impossible. Just a matter of how long you willing to wait.
Hi fella's.
So I bought one of these suckers for both guitar & bass work, cos everyone loves a Rat right?
I gotta be honest, whilst it works okay for bass, even without a blend, this pedal is SOOOOO MUCH BETTER for guitar.
I use proper equipment > SVT & Berg NV412 for bass, but I found the pedal lost a fair bit of definition with the higher gain settings, really think a clean/blend would jus take this pedal into legend status. Without a blend, it's just another derivative Rat for me....
That said, I'll be keeping it, it's the best Rat I've ever had for guitar work, and that includes a vintage real-deal Rat too.
Another question;Do you think he'd do custom things?
I really like the sounds I heard from the blower box but really dislike the way it looks and would love it in a less ornate box and maybe a silghtly smaller one too...
You think that might be possible?
I'll e-mail him I think a I don't have a facebook account. He's a pretty receptive dude! I actually was going to be etching these before Matt decided to do it himself (at least I'm pretty sure that's what he did), and he's just the nicest guy. I'd wager he could stick that sucker in a smaller enclosure. The ONLY limitations I see are the pot on the top of the box, that would not fit in smaller enclosure with top mounted jacks and powersupply, especially without having grounding issues, and the one pot that's board mounted, but you could probably wire that sucker.
Email him! Facebook him! Great guy!
I've had great exchanges with Matt. One of them was the best email ever from a pedal builder. It went something likeI am really tempted by this pedal but less so since the idiot box guys can't seem to answer questions by e-mail and I don't feel like buying from someone that doesn't communicate at all.

Naaaa... Not duct-tapeFirst time someone dislikes the packaging. Most comments I get are "That is tough as Fuk". I can understand if you want it less metal I just can't respect it.You could always make it the "Duct-Tape Box".
