Actually, I know me and @bassmusic17 were looking for the one I have a couple weeks ago, found one for like $60 I think it was. Oh, and the grey speck is great too. Its just a little more trebly and present if that makes sense. The higher gains dont sound as pleasant either.

I've heard grey spec is bassier... Huh. Well, I'll have to keep my eye out for your version. It's the 2013 one, right?

It mimics the power section of the GK 800rb. It simulates the RB series heads "hitting the rails". Its basisclaly an SS drive pedal. Its really cool.

Always message the seller though and ask about that bottom plate. That is the easiest way to tell if its the good one. I just saw one on Reverb that pictures the good one but advertises the not so good one by saying its true bypass. The good one does not come true bypass but is easy to mod. I did mine myself.

i posted this clip in my Demeter NAD thread, but here makes sense too, since i'm using the Blower. this is a taste of how it can be used on the cleaner side.
Spector Forte 4 SS > Blower > Demeter VTBP M 800 D > DAW - no mixing, no eq in the software, just the dark setting on the amp and a bit of eq there.

Has anyone had any experience with the Sinvertek No. 5 distortion? As much as I like my Blower Box, I am still having a hard time dialing in the exact sound I want. Watching the online video of the Sinvertek seems pretty promising as far as tweakability. I am pretty close to listing my Blower Box for sale and getting one of the Sinverteks, but there just isn't much info available about them. Didn't know if anyone has played one and can offer some insight (especially if you have played both the Sinvertek and the Blower Box). Thanks!

I was playing at practice last night and engaged my BB and I am still very much in love with this pedal. Hot damn it is one of the sweetest sounds that ever come out of my amp are from the BB. And its usually at a very high volume. Again, this is one pedal that I have never actually even considered getting rid of. I have thought to get a "real" rat to fill some of the same sonic space that the BB does, but there just is no way to fill the BBs shoes. Its so unique and mean and punchy and clear. And RAUNCHY! MAn I love it!

I recently got an Abominable Dont Shred on Me too and I really like it. Its a rat, plain and simple. But its great with the low end and is pretty plain such as a rat is, I guess comparing it to the BB is more plain, but it still kicks a**. I am sending it back to Patrick to get it modded to have some clipping options. I would like a little more bite to it. But I really like the DSoM so far. The BB is unique enough on its own to warrant keeping both. So thats what Im doing, they both stay ;)
