I Present the IdiotBox Effects's Blower Box

So I’m super late to the Blower Box party but I just ordered one. Limited edition white graphic. Just read through this entire thread & was wondering how many of you are still running your BB & where in the chain yields your fave results!

First in my chain after tuner. Gain set around 11 o'clock for more of an overdrive type of sound

My standard sound is a P bass with fender flats into a blower box (on reasonable settings), into a fairfield circuitry the accountant. I get just a little breakup when I play really softly, and quite a bit of breakup when I throw softly out the window.

Can you elaborate on what the second set of controls do?
This is a response from Idiotbox Matt that was posted to the Landphil thread

The top 4 controls are just like my Blower Box. Low/high cut/boost, distortion, volume into the 2nd part of the circuit. The bottom set are more like enhanced lows/highs, the bottom distortion control changes the frequencies that receive the most distortion. I always liked it almost maxed to get that classic clanky 80s thrash bass sound. The bottom volume is the master volume.

Interesting! Thanks for that.

I can't wait for the BB to arrive. Maybe a Landphil is in my future too!

Funny this thread popped back up.

I put my BB back in line after having it on the shelf for a while.
The low-gain/OD I get is excellent.
It's nice and even from top to bottom.
Not like some where it's farty on the E/A , then cleans up on the D/G.

Picked up the BB and Hobo Santa back during the black Friday sale.

Anyone else experience long lead times on their Idiotbox order? Website said standard enclosure Blower Boxes were in-stock & ready to ship but it’s been a week + a day & no evidence of my purchase being shipped / no tracking number sent. I actually forgot I’d ordered one til yesterday lol.. kinda bummed

I bought a used one on Reverb and I'm still waiting too. Tracking says the label has been printed but the post office is still awaiting arrival. The seller claims he took it to the post office on Monday and that they are just slow to update tracking. Today is the 5th day!

Maybe buying a Blower Box is an I'll fated venture, regardless of where it came from.

just email Matt, he usually responds within 24 hours. I think every time I ordered something it took ~2 weeks to ship.
