I like acoustic basses a lot...dont buy that one. You can do better for the same money most days on ebay.
That's gonna cost you way more than it's worth to get going. My suggestion is to pass on it.
If you really want a 5 string, save another paycheck and look at this one.

I thought about it, but I've had no good experiences w/ dean and I really don't want to pay more than 200 for a used since I only need it for a few side gigs.

Some of the Deans are nice, assuming you'll be plugging in. Keep an eye out for a used Ibanez, Olympia, Warwick, maybe. Under 200 and decent is tough.
I almost have to wonder if it's a scam. Unless the seller is 50 miles away, shipping that big wide sucker safely is going to cost him $100 or more anyway. Just the box size for an acoustic bass, plus padding around the super thin body, will cost a ton to ship even if it weights less than 10 pounds.
Truth...there may be so much wrong that the seller just wants to get $50 out of it. However, the OP has decided against it, so that's moot.
OP...especially with a 5 string ABG, it's going to be all about the electronics. Even an upright doesn't give you much on a low B un-amped. So, if you'll be plugging in, look at the pickup and preamp FIRST, and try before you buy or make sure returns are no-hassle. The good news is that you can get into an ABG with decent wire for 200-300, even new. Just have to shop obsessively.
Rule of Thumb for Me: NEVER buy an unstrung bass, even if it's missing just one (and the key that went with it).
I’d offer $50. I bought a mint Dean Playmate for $75, which is a perfectly fine ABG for occasional use.
This is the first bass I've seen that appears to be loaded with three E strings and then a D in the G slot.
In immaculate condition its trade in value would be about $50. If your weekly income is over $2.5K/wk, sure- go for it. Elsewise it seems like too large of a waste of your total resources.

I love playing an ABG in the proper setting. More so than with an electric, it is best to step up and pay for a good one.
This is one of those RARE instances when talkbass will tell you NOT to buy something.

I've owned acoustic basses but not anymore... I get way better results from a electric bass in a gig bag with a blackstar battery powered amp in the pocket. The battery powered amp will cost less.

I've seen mixed reviews online and this one looks pretty grimy and a tuner is gone. (Not to mention the diagonal string) but the guy only wants 150$ shipped.

Don't overlook the dean acoustic basses. Great value can be had there, and that's what your are looking for. Just get an active preamp model if intend to amplify. The passive models are underwhelming amplified.
