I shouldn't learn to play this stuff, should I?

I bought a kit to keep in our practice space a few years ago that I thought might try and learn on. That went nowhere.

Sure, learn to plsy them. Then you can show the drummer exactly what uou want!

You know what would be awesome? Don't invest in a drum throne, just take that couch with you to gigs and play the drums from there.

Update: I'm being very disciplined about not learning to play them. However, I also went and spent about $120 on this late Soviet set, with shells of nice birch, poorly applied ugly wrap, plastic lugs and some general weirdness. The tomholder is missing a few parts and has one broken screw stuck in there, and there's no snare, but the kit does come with a matching kick pedal (good, because normal pedals won't fit these kick rims!), snare, hi-hat and cymbal stands, plus two other non-matching cymbal stands. In general this kit took a lot less work to clean.

Well these ugly black ones with the reinforcement rings look much more suitable than the gargantuan brown ones.

If I may make a suggestion; learn to play them with headphones on.

No. IMO,you should do 2 things immediately:
1. Get rid of those things ASAP; and
2. Follow George's advice...

I tried to put the bunny behind me, too, but it ended up hidden behind one of the huge toms. So that didn't work!
