That bass, in the condition it's in, is worth a certain amount of money. My guess is probably about $3000. It's pretty rough, for sure, but it looks to be a true 58 P bass.
You might think that's nuts for what is admittedly a butt-ugly axe, but I can guarantee there's a whole bunch of folks who think that it is worth that much, and who will pay it if the bass were offered to them.
I speak from experience -- I rescued and refinned a 59P in similar condition, and was later offered another 59P (bad refin in black) by a very respected dealer in LA, that I passed on due to my finances at the time...

Plus, your 59 P might inspire Thor to go out and dig a few tons of quahaugs and cut back on the visits to "Slice of Heaven" in order to snag this lovely torso of a storm cast relic.
