My wife bought me a Stealth Bongo this past Christmas. Ladies like that are serious keepers!
She is most defiantly a keeper. My gf bought me a MTD Heir 4 string for my birthday. I finial came full circle and bought her the art studio space she wanted. Its going to be a summer wedding...
I don't know how long you guys have been going out, but you do realize that now you have to buy her a diamond. Right? If not, you'll never hear the end of it.

I'm happy when I'm fast enough to duck when the war ax comes out when I adopt another piece of gear. Just wait, you'll learn all the cunning acts of an old dude. Like having it shipped to work, the lie "what, this old thing, I've had it forever" and my personal favorite - it'll go up in value.

My ex-wife bought me a nice Czech double-bass, but that was in the first year of our marriage, before she got involved in other interesting things... But I'm not raining on this loving parade--don't take it that way: Just be cautious while still loving. Hey, sometimes, the woman sticks around and, not only that, keeps buying you basses.
Or so I have read. My current GF seems to be made of that fine cloth. She's been asking lots of Qs about bass-specs and she doesn't play a darn instrument. Hmmmm: FODERA!!!!
Oh, she's not rich by any means. Tax returns and Student Loan refunds. Not to mention she didn't pay very much for it at all.
Ready for this? Some guy had it on the evil bay with a b.i.n. of $1,795. 3 previous offers had expired....so she sent in an offer of $1,000 just to see....... And the guy took it!!!!
It definitely does mean alot, I've had other girlfriends before that would come to shows and whatnot, but never anything like this. She just listened and payed attention to the details of what I said I wanted. I've dreamed of owning this bass for 8 years now, and because of her, I have it.
The only down-fall, and it's very minor, is it seems to have been sitting for awhile. So those beautiful brass frets are green and the wood is pretty dry, so I took it over to my local guy for some new strings, set-up, and good cleaning. Should have it all nice and ready by the weekend.
