That's definitely more organic sounding than most of the fuzz samples I've heard. Is this a Swollen Pickle clone?

If you haven't checked out Burgermeister's clips of the Earthbound Supercollider, do so: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showpost.php?p=5472711&postcount=17. My favourite fuzz for what it's worth, really massive sounding without being harsh. Only $120 too!
If you want something more distortion like and less mushy, check out the Attack Goat, Dunlop Hendrix Fuzz, and MXR El Grande Bass Fuzz (clips on MXR site for El Grande, other two are floating around TB).

It is, and a pretty good one at that. The B version has the addition of a wet/dry blend knob (which I've not tried yet).
The original Pickle Pie is IIRC, the 'B' has a different tone - more mids - plus the clean blend as grygrx already mentioned.
If you want one you might be waiting a while though because everybody wants one.
I put my order in about 4 weeks back but I don't think mine has shipped yet.
I liked what I heard on Burgermeister's page, but hearing their myspace page it sounded too boomy. I'm trying to figure out if that's an instrument variation, a bad eq, or an inherent issue.
Watching Grygrx's Attack Goat video on Youtube as we speak.
Anything with a blend knob will get my attention as a potential candidate because it's probably thinking about my needs as a bassist in a band as opposed to a bassist in his garage.
That said, I've just found the second clip of a colorsound demo that sounds a lot like what I've got in my head. Does anyone know of clones available for these guys? I honestly can't see myself wanting to deal with the real estate I've seen this thing take up on pedalboards, and iirc it doesn't have a stock dc outlet. The Trifecta can't be the only one?
The Supercollider can get boomy but only with the depth control all the way down (I was expecting this knob to work the other way round, unless mine is wired up wrong!). At least it got all that low end on tap if you want it. Others have said it sounds very similar to the Colorsound Tonebender too, in that very thread someone posted a clip of their tonebender clone, the bonebender. I've not heard the Trifecta yet though, I will have to check that one out!

Here's a clip of the Colorsound Bass Fuzz that has been recommended, and is growing on me. He stays midway up the neck most of the time, and I'd prefer something a tad less smooth, but it still sounds like there's decent note definition and "tightness" to it, but again, it may be the clip....
you havent heard the MXR M-182 El Grande Bass Fuzz have you? it was a disaster listening to the demo on the website. i cried! if i could get this pedal i would show everyone how to throw out the rhythm guitarist hehe

That's actually along the lines of what I'm looking for, at least the demo version on their website... it's got some bite, but still is controlled enough to hold down some rhythm, sounds fairly organic and keeps low end.
The fact that it's $100 makes it jump pretty high on the list.
That's pretty good too. It's not quite as organic or controlled as I'm looking for, but the waveform sounds like it's got some bite. Mind if I ask what it is?
I really, really want to like the Assmaster, but so far I have yet to hear a clip , including the one above, that screamed "buy me!"
As of this point, my short list is:
MXR El Grande, still the closest clip to what I think I'm looking for I've heard yet.
Colorsound Bass Fuzz
Attack Goat (Burgermeister's clips are starting to show me some potential, and the built in blend is a strong selling point)
Barber Trifecta - it's basically a Muff, a Tonebender, and a TZ-2 in one package, gives me a good starting point to figure out which direction to go in...
I can appreciate your dilemma. I would like a fuzz that sounds tight around the edges but vintage-y and wild otherwise. I can only imagine it's hard to do!
Maybe something like the MI Audio Neo might be worth looking at? You don't get clean blend (but you could add it with a Boss LS-2 or similar blender) but you do get lots of control.

the PPB is great. I got in early so i've had mine a couple of months. Its the only fuzz i will ever need
Guttermouth makes some killer fuzz pedals.

yeah! thats what am talking about wish i had been in US i would have got it like NOW. and lucky people in US can even return the pedal within 30days wow! anyway the demo on the website is the best thing i have heard in days
Fuzz setting on a PX3B. There is only one fuzz sound available, but I like it for it's rude-like presence.
Just found a clip of the Wren and Cuff Pickle Pie B and at low fuzz settings and blended it has similar qualities to the MXR. The sustain seems too high for my tastes when the fuzz level gets turned up but I'd written this thing off before hearing the low gain settings.
