I wanna see some unique basses

Cello fingerboard grafted onto a '76 P neck. Full extended range onto the body. Can be bowed (with some difficulty, the body gets in the way). Custom mahogany saddles and shim, strung through body. A bartolini MM in bridge, '78 P pups on neck, wired passive with weird phase controls for tone shaping. Knobs are from a Quad Eight Coronado recording console. Warmoth body from the 80's painted in acrylic by an old friend of mine with the motif as a bunch of jazz musicians arranged in such a way as to look like a dog's face from a distance. The back of the body has a great martini glass painting and the words "Doggy Bar". Neck is thick as a baseball bat, love it.

Dang, was unaware Sadowsky made them, too. How does the square tube sound compared to the round one, and how many thousands does it cost?

Square tub emphasizes the odd harmonics, giving it a warmer more "mojo-ish" sound. I got lucky and happen to run into the Sadowsky Vending Van at the beach, haven't seen another of these bad boys yet. Sure it was pricey, but if you are truly devoted to your craft, no price is too high for the tonez this puppy can generate!

I can't stop looking at it. Judging from the detail on the tub this is an early version. Still, he should have offered a tort spit guard as an option (IMO).

Love this. It reminds me of what I've always wanted to do and that is a full blown woodcarving pictorial on a bass. Lemmy from Motorhead has a Ric that has a little of that but I'm talking even more 3D and deeper cuts really shaping it with a theme like you've got going on there. Cool.

I've always preferred the sound of Passive Single Coil Jazz pickups on a fretless, but I also much prefer the shape of a P-Bass. There are some other subtle player oriented features that make this one fit me like a glove. 8-1/2 lbs, Basswood, Hand-shaped Flamed and Figured Maple Neck, 1-3/4 Nut, Rosewood FB (LOVE how the accent color in the rosewood matches the body color), truss rod wheel, rounded heel on neck, flush Dunlop Strap Locks, Sadowsky Single Coils and Flats (.045-.105), Hdwe by HipShot, Paint by Ben Lindsey.
