I heard BA wasn't making any more bridges. Is that true?

It's straight. The body's not symmetrical.

It is not an optical illusion. The bridge isn't straight. If you follow the line of the bridge on the treble side, it follows the strings. Since the strings taper towards the nut, the bridge must be mounted crooked. The mounting holes are probably straight; the bridge just needs loosened and straightened.

For what is worth guys I finally got one of these. 2 fender distributors looked into it for me and they were told this model is not available yet. I just grabbed the only one I've seen yet on ebay. The seller happened to be from Canada, so that makes shipping even easier for me. $67 +10 ship is about all I'd want to pay anyhow.

Nice score. I've been keeping an eye on ebay as well. Haven't seen one.

You are assuming that the bridge is all right angles. I'm having a buddy mill an aluminum base block for my P Elite bridge. Thought it was square until I tried lining it up on a perfect square. The sides taper in toward the neck.

It looks ugly and square and wrong on a Fender IMHO.

That's the way I roll. Had one (BAII) for years then went back to the original bridge. Looks and plays better in my view.

I would mostly agree. But they do seem to make roundwounds sound better.
