I was robbed yesterday

What a bunch of crap! I hate thieves and I'm afraid of what I would do to them if I ever caught one!

As others posted, I would suspect someone nearby. I would also think that it would take more then one person to move this amount of gear in such a short time. If you live in a single dwelling are there any suspicious tracks in the snow?

I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you are properly insured because I know how some (MOST) insurance companies are.

Yes, there are tracks, and they were very well photographed. I agree that it was two or three people, and the clues inside agree. Much of it (all the photo gear, for example) was already cased/bagged, so it was probably easier than it would seem from the quantity.
 
Im subscribing to this. Im really hoping this thread and this situation have a positive conclusion. Such a terrible low down thing to do. Not only by how valuable your (YOUR) gear is but how special I know it all is for you. Robbing you of not one but two of your very passions. Im not a very forgiving man and if in your position, cant think about what id do if I got to them before the cops. Keep us posted.
