Warrioor made the worlds very first 15 string bass in the 90's. And they made it for me based off of the concept I told. I told the owner that I had this bass in my head and I asked him if he could make it, he asked me what was it. I explained the concept to him, he paused and said that he had never heard of such an instrument. And then he said yes.I had it made with the tuning Eee-Aaa-Ddd-Ggg-Ccc and it was made fretless. Then after that Warrior made a few more but all the others had Low Bbb tuning instead of high Ccc.
A few years later I was at one of the winter NAMM shows sitting at the Warrior booth(by this time Warrior had made about 4 15 string basses including mine) and Korn happen to come by. I noticed that the guitarist and vocalist had spotted the 15 string bass that was on display and they were just blown away, they frantically told Fieldy to check it out and he was speechless, They were all in awe. A few years later Ibanez comes out with a 15 string bass. I talked to the builder of the 15 string bass that Fieldy has and he told me that it was just the same model Ibanez that Feildy plays but with 15 strings added. He said that he did nothing special to it and he even told me that the bass really has a hard time staying in tune.
