Has anyone tried the Ibanez BTB 205? If so, what's good and what's bad about it? i know the ibanez basses usually don sound that good, but i care more about the fretboard and the neck. I'm thinkin of buyin it or maybe the BTB 405 if i have enough cash.

Ibanez BTB 205 and 405

I don't have the specs in front of me, but I'd say just in general, the difference between a 200-level (beginner) Ibanez and a 400-level will be vast and very noticable. Again I'm not comparing the two models you're referring to, but I started on an Ibanez GSR and it went to crap real fast. However, I had a 400-level 5-string that performed very well for a long time.
Definitely hold off and spend the extra cash on a BTB400 if you have the choice.
