It's on Ebay right now, and supposedly it was a custom job done for Limp Bizkit's bass player. It looks like a cross between the BTB555 and the BTB1205. The maple has what looks like a bit of spalting in it. If I hadn't already bought my 555 I'd jump on this thing in a heartbeat!

WOW  What pickups are those?

I like the BTB shape better 5 stringer or more. IMHO it looks wierd on a 4 string.

no no i understand exactly and agree. i thought i was the only one to think that. seems a bit bigger looking when only with a four string neck. 6 stringers look more proportional to body size to me. its as if they were designed as a 6 to start and then decided "hey, lets do a four string version to increase profits, but to offset cost, lets use the same body on all versions".

You guys are right, the body shape looks a bit big for a 4-string. I think it looks just about right with the width of the 5-string neck on it. It looks really good with the 6-string neck as well. I'll bet the 4-strings weren't a hot seller compared to the 5 and 6 stringers, and they didn't want to lose money making BTB550's and BTB1200's.

My bass actually has a beautiful quilt maple finish, it's a shame that it shows up straight black in pictures. How can I help this?
I really liked the quilt on my BTB405, even though I'm not into black basses. I'm not sure how you could capture the quilt, unless maybe you used more room light and no flash on your camera.
