Ibanez BTB?

Hey everybody. I have an Ibanez BTB400QM and I have to tell you... I really don't like the tone that much. I've spent countless hours EQ'ing the bass/the amp, changing batteries, swapping strings, adjusting pickups, but in the end I always end up with a dry, bland, sort-of cheap-sounding tone.

Does anybody here have any advice on making BTB basses sound good?

I really love the tone of Fender MIA J-basses.

Change out electronics and pickups.

It will never sound like a MIA J bass,

Its not a fender, never will be. The btb isn't for you. Sell it and get the fender you like.
