So I've started to keep an eye out for one of these. If I see the right one at the right price I'll probably chase it. Then I crossed paths with this: http://cgi.ebay.com/1976-IBANEZ-DES...1?pt=Guitar&hash=item588adcb0ef#ht_1889wt_905

What the hell? Am I missing something here or is this guy out of his mind? In pristine condition I can't image this bass would go for more than a grand tops. I don't know much about the Destroyers, but I can't imagine one would fetch such a price tag...

And if you have a Destroyer, show me yours!

Well, of course anything is only worth what someone will pay for it, but yeah, he's crazy to think he'll get that much. 70's Ibanez are very high quality- the "lawsuit" era- so that's a lot more desirable than one from the hair metal years, but at that price- and with the limited pool of people looking to purchase such a beastie, I predict that one will be available for quite a while.

Including the one you have listed, I have only ever seen four others. Must be quite rare!:bassist:

Cheers. :)
