Ibanez or Spector?

Get the BTB in my opinion. As far as playability I loved my old BTB, super deep cutaways to reach all the frets, wide and thin neck, even output balance over all the strings, and the Bartolinis are pretty awesome if you're into the Bart sound. Its heavy tho, just a warning
They're totally different basses, go try them out and see which one suits you better. I'd pick an Ibanez over the Legend series of Spectors, but that's because I personally prefer them.

It doesn't really matter much what the vote count here is, all that matters is what YOU like because you are going to be the one buying and playing it. If I say I like brand x better, well that's great, that's my opinion and I'm entitled to it, but how does that really help you?

I would go with the BTB since it has EMGs and the Spector has HZs. Saves you the hassle of upgrading yourself. And tht BTB looks real nice. I like Spectors, but if I was going to buy one, I would save up for the super nice ones.
I don't think you will be disappointed with either. Both are nice instruments, pick the one that's better sounding to you. If I had to choose, I would try the Spector.
The spector is emg HZ also, voiced for more mids. The Ibanez has nicer preamp imo. But its really going to depend which one OP likes better for playability and sound. Id say the Ibanez was a little nicer for the price.
Both are great basses. I prefer the spector for what it does. Dont count out the hz's, they sound great with the tone pump pre. What kind of music are you playing? Imo the BTB sounds better with Bart's.
I generally prefer Ibanez over Spector, but I'm not a fan of the BTB series.

Spectors are a different breed than the Ibanezes. I wanted to get an Sr700 but once I played the Spector Classic 4 I couldn't go back to the Sr700.
