Ibanez Promethean

The Carvin BX500 is comparable to the Promethean.

I would love to do a head to head comparison on these two. Obviously the feature sets are a bit different, but I am curious about the tone (and reliability) of the Carvin compared to the Promethean. Also, the Ibanez has proven itself reliable over all. Mine (P500H) has been going strong for two plus years at gig volume on a weekly basis.

You're not getting it. This thread has been going for over two years. It's about the Promethean micro head and how it compares to other micro heads. Watts and dollars being part of the equation yes; but also tone, build quality, reliability, etc. as compared to other micro heads in its class.

Btw, "Harley Benton" is a Thomann exclusive store brand. But it is generally solid and reliable stuff; sold by solid and reliable people (ime).

Head only here below:

Are the tone stack and power supply the same as the P500H? If so, what changes where made to cut the cost in half?
