Ibanez Roadbass 808

I found one of these basses in a local classified ad. According to the seller, the bass is in immaculate condition. I've offered $300 and he complied. It appears to be resting in the original hard case too. I've been browsing the internet for the last 30 minutes looking for other pictures of this bass, but can't find any with the chrome tuners and bridge like this one has. I don't have any experience with these basses, but an 80's (1987?) MIJ Ibanez bass for $300 (Canadian) in minty condition already seems like a good deal. Yay or nay? Has anyone owned or played the exact bass pictured? How much did this bass cost new?

I've always like the headstocks some of the made in Japan Ibanez basses had in the later 80's.

Same. The headstock shape plays a pretty big role in my interest of this bass.

I know this thread isn't exactly fresh, but by chance anyone know what catalog that page is in? Reverse image search didn't find it and I'd like to know a bit more. I have the RB707E in red.

Yeah I found that page too, but these are the only two pages and I have not found the complete catalog it is from. Pasting them into reverse image search yields no other results than talkbass.

what else do you want to know? ibanez produced a model line specific brochure for those models. you want to know what else came out in 1987?

Ahh so this was like a flyer with these two pages only? I really wanted to see what else might be in there that's rare and obscure. It's weird how there seems to be so little info on the 707 and 808, I guess these were rather short-lived before the design change to the RD series.
