The aesthetics are totally bit my style, but it is very cool to see such a bass in short scale (5 string multi scale). More normalization of short scale?
I think that link is to the current "long scale" (889mm/35" - 838mm/33") model.
I don't believe the short scale version is on the site yet.
One thing about the string-retainers on the EHB is that you can fit a 0.16" string through there, so it doesn't need to be tapered.

That would be the most niche bass ever if it came in fretless.

This bass is like everything I don’t like about super modern looking basses and yet I am drawn to it. Short scale totally changes things.
