I have an Ibanez SR-885 with basslines and a Seymour Duncan preamp. Everything about it is great except the sound, which is good, but not great. Could be the strings, not sure, or maybe I just love the p-bass sound too much. Or maybe it's the basswood body. It plays so awesome and feels so good, it wins anyway. I don't play 5 string basses as much as 4 stringers. So it's not going anywhere. I might need to experiment with it more and find THAT sound, you know?
