ibanez sr 400?

greetings.

so what do you guys think about the ibanez sr 400 ?

i played it alot at the local store latley, and i cant put it down. so i think i may pick it up for $430...

any problems with it? what else do you think my be better for 430 bucks?

A friend of mine had the SR405, and, as nice as it was to play, the sound that came through was horrible IMO

I love ibanez basses to bits, but really got put off the lower SR series basses by that experience

an SRX bass maybe? EDA's seem to go really cheap these days, they are amazing basses, but, people either love or hate them (sound and shape wise)

but if you like it thats fair enough, it just didnt apeal to my tastes

I think they come with a black PG, but you can get a white one for $10.00

i love the look of a jazz with white on white.

but the sr 400 in light amber is just a bit cooler.

I Just bought a 1984 G&l SB-2 for 450,so I would look around. My old 6 string Ibanez 406 was only $260 or something.If you like that bass then get one if it makes you happy but not for $430

psst.......Get the mighty P...... I love Ricks, but the P Bass is definately a close second......and I want one, too!

BTW....I used to own a soundgear 400, and to me, it sounds inferior to a P Bass....even a Squire one!

faith, the problem with my user name is that i never owed a p bass, i just used my dad's 64 RI (white/tort gaurd)

i dunno....that j bass is looking tastey...

Then get the J man, I have a MIM exactly like that, except I changed the pickguard for a black one(still sounds better than the Ibanez).......

.....although I'd prefer a good P Bass over it..

I have seen them for 150-225 so yes I would say that is overpriced.

Used. I got mine used for $225 with a drop-d tuner and a hardcase. Keep looking around; the SR400's been around for a while, so there will be some good deals available.

where does a 'standard jazz bass' get made? is ir MIM or MIA?
