Ibanez SR400QM

I've come out of retirement after over a decade of not playing. I have 9 basses from Fender P's to a warwick corvette, and A Few Spector NS2's. Today i was taking my daughter to look at new guitars. I looked at the basses, and tried a really pretty carved top Ibanez SR400QM it has a quilted maple top, active electrinics, and It was selling for $344.99 I got to play it through the same Hartke HA3500. (I played through the cabs with the alum. speakers, and I use the VX paper cone speakers) I cannot believe how well it plays and how nice it looks and sounds for the price. I had a Spector Legand that I bought as a spare bass, and this Ibanez crushes it! It's comparable to my NS2 and maybe easier to play. I can't believe the quality for the price. can anyone else tell me what they think of this bass? I've always considered Ibanez basses as a really good deal for the cash, but this one really suprised me! My Kid ended up buying an ESP LTD guitar for $650, but I think I got the bargain of the day!

I just recently traded in an ESP LTD B155 for a SR400QMCS (cherry sunburst). IMO the Ibanez is a better quality bass based on fretwork, and sound quality. This is my fourth Ibanez. I have it tuned to C G C F because I like the lows of a 5er, but am so much more comfortable with the slim (1 7/16") SR4 neck on the Ibanez. It has fantastic range, and that neck is soooooooo sweet. I like that the mid boost (sweep) is separate from the treble/bass controls, and it's so pretty too. You won't be disappointed! Feel free to ask me if you have any questions.
