Ibanez SR505F - Help : O

Greeting comrades!

New member here and first post on this wonderful forum! First off I just want to thank all of the people that make this all possible, you guys do a great job! Seems like the community here is awesome! So to my question. I have been looking to get an affordable 5 string fretless and I recently stumbled upon this one from Ibanez. I'm just wondering if any of you have experience with it and just your general thoughts on it. Any thoughts are much appreciated! Here's a link to it from Long and Mcquades site:

Ibanez SRs have very thin necks and tight string spacing. Some love this; others not so much. The 500 series is where the SR electronics and materials take a leap, so it's a good place to start with Inanez. I suggest you play any SR 5-string to see if the thin neck and narrow string spacing works for you. If so, then go for it. They are great bases and great values.

i have an sr500 and a 505 with a quilted maple top.
the 500 series bases are very nice basses and i don't feel the sapceing is very different from other basses the spacing on my 4 string is 3/4in thats the same as the spector usa and euro series basses. i never measured the five string but it doesn't feel any tighter than my friends esp 5er wich is not nearly as comfortable to play as my ibanez the neck is very slim front to back but the 5 peice laminent makes it prety strong and stable, i had my 5er setup 6 weaks ago tuned it the day after and it has not gone out of tune yet(it's realy kind of freaking me out).
i prefer the feel of a four string but wanted the extra low b sometimes so i got the 505qm(and i love the maple top) and i'm very happy i did becouse i find the neck much more playable than most others i have played so i would think someone who likes playing a 5 all the time would love this bass. also i'm not shure if it's the maple top or the extra neck and bridge mass but the 5 has a little deeper, warmer tone than the 4 of the same model, prety shure the exotic tops are only about $50 more that standard on these bases you should check them out
