Ibanez SRA505 vs. BTB 705DX

Hey all,

I'm in the market for a new bass to replace my very old ibanez BTB 6-string. Went to the shop today and played nearly every bass in the store, and I must say that the new Ibanez BTB 705DX struck my fancy. They did not, however, have the SRA505 in stock, so I couldn't compare them. Just wondering what you guys think about these basses!

Big pro for the BTB is neck-thru, but I much prefer the body shape of the SRA.

Also, any suggestions outside of ibanez for a similar tone to the BTB in the same price range? I was thinking Spector Legend, but it didn't feel as nice as the ibanez when I tried them both.

I love my SR506, but I've never played a BTB. Theres tons of posts about this, try searchin en out...everyone pretty much just recommends the one they like more. From what I gather, very similar sound, but BTB has those big dumb horns and the SR is sleek and small...to each his own.
