Ibanez TRB2 Info?

I've been eyeing this bass on Craigslist and trying to google some information on it, but I have yet to find any good information.

It appears to have only been made in 1993. Is this equivalent to the current cheapo GIO series basses or is it a little more mid range? Guy said he'd take $125 for the bass and while I don't need it, it's hard to pass up a bass for $125 as long as it isn't a piece of junk. Just wondering if it's worth my time to meet up and look at it. Any knowledge of it would be appreciated.

Thanks.....I googled for a while and dug around on the Ibanez website and couldn't come up with anything. Looks like it's the bottom of the list bass in 1993 from what I can tell. May take a chance with it just to have another bass. I only have three at the moment, which obviously isn't enough, ha.

did you get it?

I have the TRB1. it's my first bass. i bought it new in 1993. the build quality is better than current GIO by far. it's super light. i think under 8lbs.

Not trying to necro this thread, but I recently acquired a TRB2. I really enjoy it. I feel it will take over as my number 1. Everything I found online says only produced for 93, but mine has a F2Xxxxx serial number. That tells me it was made in 92. Is that unusual? Doesn't really matter as she is beautiful and plays and sounds better than the other 7 I have right now. Ours hands change as well as our tastes I guess.
