I think back in the day ( with less choice ) it was easier to hit Iconic status. Now there are so many genres and sub genres and a band can be huge for 10 minutes and then gone that to be truly Iconic to everyone is impossible. If the name wasn’t in the graphics of most of these posts I wouldn’t know the artist. These two count I think.

I remember as a kid being told that if you turn the DIO logo upside down and look carefully it says, "DEVIL" in it.

For us 80s metalheads that was cool lol.
